The Mazé Method 200-hour teacher trainings take you on a journey of self-discovery and education into all things yoga. Our foundational training (200–hour) program is ideal for serious students of yoga, aspiring yoga teachers, and teachers with varying levels of experience. Students with injuries and health issues are also encouraged to attend. Our curriculum combines detailed alignment and intelligent sequencing with vinyasa theory, and provides you with sound knowledge and skills to teach safe and effective yoga classes. This training is recognized by Yoga Alliance and focuses in three areas of study: The Theory and Practice of Yoga, Yoga Philosophy, and The Art of Teaching.
Successful completion of this training earns you a certificate, which qualifies you to register with Yoga Alliance at the 200 hour RYT level.
At least one year of regular practice is recommended.
No prior teaching experience is required.
You do not need to be flexible or injury free.
Dedication, motivation and self-directed studentship of yoga and the path of teaching.
Willingness to participate fully in group process, able to give and receive feedback.
BOOKS & MATERIALS
You will receive a teacher training manual and numerous handouts as the course evolves.

SPECIFIC PROGRAM STRUCTURE
The training will be held at the SLO Yoga Center, downtown San Luis Obispo, CA. The program will meet for 8 weekends between February and June, 2019.
Training spans 7 weekends between February and May, 2019: Feb 22-24, Mar 1-3, Mar 8-10, Mar 22-24, Apr 12-14, Apr 26-28, May 3-5.
Fridays: 1pm to 8pm
Saturdays: 10:30am to 7:30pm
Sundays: 9:30am to 5:30pm

Rocky Heron Founder of Yoga with Rocky and YOGAMAZÉ Emissary, Rocky Heron (E-RYT500) is a world-traveling yoga teacher and avid yoga student. Known for uncanny wisdom and skillful instruction, Rocky’s teaching is informed by years of study in nearly every yoga style, and his dedicated interest in exploring the body/mind’s wisdom and innate healing potential. When not on the road, Rocky spends his time in San Francisco or Los Angeles, CA where he works alongside Noah Mazé in formulating meaningful yoga curriculum for the YOGAMAZÉ system. Peach Friedman, E-RYT 500, is an internationally celebrated author, yoga teacher, and public speaker. She pioneered the birth of a vibrant yoga community in the southeast, before returning with her family to California, where she now lives and works.
Peach is passionate about empowering her students to take their education into their own hands. She emphasizes skillful alignment via a clear, direct, and purpose-driven teaching style. Peach is known for challenging classes that aim to balance the relationship between stability and mobility, as well as the relationship between the pose and the person.
Also the author of the acclaimed memoir, Diary of an Exercise Addict, Peach has worked for over fifteen years helping women recover from eating disorders.
Peach’s most influential teachers include Noah Maze, Cori Martinez, and Livia Cohen-Shapiro.
