Yoga awakens a new way to experience awareness within yourself and your life. Megan Whitney discovered yoga while earning her Landscape Architecture degree at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Inspired by the benefits of developing compassion, strength, focus, and self-awareness in her own life through yoga, Megan sought to share its benefits with her community.   In 2010 Megan studied Viniyoga, earning her 200 Hour Certification at Thia Ashonoah’s Sangha Circle Yoga Studies Program under the majestic redwood trees of Occidental, California. She completed her second 200 Hour Certification studying Vinyasa in 2012, and a 300 Hour Certification studying with Peter Stereos in 2015. Megan will lead her fourth 200 Hour Teacher Training Spring 2018. As a yoga teacher, Megan aspires to creatively invite others to deepen their awareness, be empowered by the connection to their own inner wisdom, and to uncover yoga that supports where they are and where they are going. She is very grateful to teaching her eighth year at SLO Yoga Center, connecting her in a personal way to the wonderful community she grew up in on the Central Coast of California.
