Vinyasa Level 1
Good choice for beginners. Level 1 is a slower-paced flow class geared towards those new to yoga or preferring a slightly gentler class. Time is spent breaking down sun salutations and other poses fundamental to a Vinyasa practice. Props and modifications offered for proper alignment and ease in the postures.
Vinyasa All Levels
Suitable for all levels but those new to yoga should start with Vinyasa Level 1. As you mindfully integrate movement and breath, this Vinyasa class is aimed at the seasoned beginner who has Level 1 experience and intermediate practitioners who are ready to expand their yoga practice. These classes begin to encourage practitioners to explore getting upside-down and may incorporate some arm balances and deeper backbends. We recommend that students seeking to take these classes feel confident, safe, and strong throughout classic sun salutations.
Vinyasa Level 2
Recommended for students with at least 3 months of consistent vinyasa practice. LEVEL 2 Vinyasa classes explore complex movements and sequences including arm balances and inversions layered over solid foundations. These classes may incorporate deeper backbends, hip opening, twists, and forward folds. The teacher will encourage rest periods and offer modifications as needed.
Suitable for all levels but those new to yoga should start with Vinyasa Level 1. This 60-minute class is a strong, fast-paced class designed to build heat and strength. This practice is a total body workout that creates longer, leaner muscles and a body with more mobility to improve circulation. We recommend that students seeking to take these classes feel confident, safe, and strong throughout classic sun salutations.
Suitable for all levels but those new to yoga should start with Vinyasa Level 1. This well-rounded evening class infuses candlelit ambiance and music set to the pace of an inspired Vinyasa Flow. Suitable for all levels but those new to yoga should start with Vinyasa Level 1. Strength emanates from the core outwards. Create strength in this class so you can flow with grace and ease in your yoga practice. Be prepared to generate heat through asana, pranayama, Pilates, and kundalini exercises for the purposes of releasing blockages and opening up space in the physical and energetic bodies. We recommend that students seeking to take these classes feel confident, safe, and strong throughout classic sun salutations.
Suitable for all levels. Good choice for beginners. "YIN-yasa" is a combination of vinyasa flow and yin yoga. A blend of yang/yin; the first portion of class utilizes the heat of vinyasa flow, and is then followed with the cooling stillness of yin postures to achieve balance. A slower-paced flow through sun salutations and standing postures, geared towards those new to yoga or preferring a gentler practice. Followed with the passive long holds of yin to target joints, connective tissues, and fascia. Yin poses are floor based and supported with props to create as little effort while holding for 2-5 minutes.
For students with at least one year of consistent vinyasa practice. This class covers the full primary series of the ashtanga system, as taught in the tradition of Sri K. Pattabhi Jois of Mysore, India. This set sequence of advanced postures utilizes ujjayi breath and bandhas (energy locks) to increase muscular strength, flexibility and concentration.
Ashtanga Primary Series
Suitable for all levels. A restful, calming class including breathing, gentle flowing movements, passive and supported poses. This is a perfect beginning yoga class that is also appropriate for those working with injury, limited mobility, or who prefer a softer, gentler approach to yoga.
Suitable for all levels. Yin Yoga invites you to slow down and create space for stillness while nourishing joints, ligaments, tendons and fascia. Yin is yoga at its coolest, deepest, quietest, stillest moments. This class will have you on the floor most of the time, using as many props needed to create as little effort while holding poses. Poses are held for 2-5 minutes allowing joints and fascia to release. This class will complement your Vinyasa practice and will open and release areas in need of more stretching.
Suitable for all levels. Hatha is a potent alignment-oriented practice that emphasizes the forms and actions within yoga postures. Traditional asanas are held in accurate alignment. Emphasis is placed on core strength, flexibility and balance as well as concentration and breath control. This class is based on physical postures (asanas), deep breathing, mindfulness and listening to the body.
Suitable for all levels. Our bodies have an innate ability to relax given the right circumstances. Restorative yoga uses a series of easy, supported poses held for a long time under the right conditions (including the use of many props) to tip the balance from “fight or flight” mode into maximum relaxation. Yogis developed these poses over many years, but science tells us that, under the conditions set in restorative yoga, immediate effects on heart rate, blood pressure and brain activity are possible. Emphasis on complete muscular relaxation and comfort are emphasized to achieve a quiet state of mind and body.
Suitable for all levels. Barre Fusion is a 60-minute total body conditioning class that blends yoga, classical ballet exercise, and Pilates. Enjoy a fun, infigorating, workshout that incorporates vinyasa-based yoga, ballet movement, and lower-body work to develop muscular endurance, dynamic balance, flexibility, and core strength.
